Don’t drive an appliance

Want a Camry? Great. But have something about it that makes it uniquely yours. Buy a vehicle or customize one that makes you smile when you see it. Upgrade the rims or paint it a unique fun color that makes it all your own.

I realize that to many people, a car is simply an appliance – something that does the job it was designed to do, nothing more, nothing less. Wash my clothes, dry my hair, get me from point A to point B. And that’s fine; if you’re one of those people, more power to you.

I’m not one of those people. I don’t want to drive an appliance and never have. I think I got this from my father – he didn’t drive appliances. From his Phantom to his Jaguars and more, he wasn’t getting behind the wheel of an appliance. I loved that about him. Even pop’s “regular” cars were something just a bit more. He liked Cadillac’s and his favorite was a sea blue Cadillac convertible with white leather. But usually that car stayed parked while he was behind the wheel of his XKE with the top down. Life’s too short to drive boring cars? I couldn’t agree more.
